For example, a good friend of mine shared his experience with an ex-girlfriend of his who aborted her pregnancy. He told me at the time it did upset him deeply, and he would have loved to be a father, and that every now and again (even though it’s been a few years) it does still upset him a but he did understand it was still her choice. That he wasn’t the one carrying it so he did have no say. But I mean, it did make me re-evaluate my views on the whole “it shouldn’t effect men period.”

Of course not, men are entitled to feel however they happen to feel. I mean, it’s psych 101 that you have no control over your emotions. They just have to be able to reconcile their feelings with what is ultimately not their decision to make. Het couples should discuss these things before having sex, to be honest, so that both parties know what might happen and what they might have to be prepared to deal with, especially if the guy things it’ll affect them so deeply.
