To the person worried about herpes: I had a scare as well, and the doctors acted like it was absolutely herpes despite my monogamy. They wouldn't even humor my "how else can it spread? What else might it be?" questions. Well, the test came back negative, and the sore was just from friction (I'd done a lot of walking in the summer heat the previous weekend). It's ALWAYS vital to get sores checked out, but it's not a sure thing until the test comes back.
