Please note: Many of these sites lead to either Planned Parenthood or The National Network of Abortion Funds.

If any organizations are not on the list, please don’t hesitate to add them in or message us!

frostrune abortion planned parenthood crisis pregnancy centers cpcs women's health reproductive health propaganda anti-choice
re: anti-choice prop, when i volunteered at planned parenthood, someone/some people once left little brochures condemning plan b and lying about fetal development with inaccurate pictures. another time, some group put (glued?) teddy bears with "i wanted to be (x profession)" all over the building, creating a big mess that the manager and nurses had to clean up. there was also a faint ghosting of where i assume someone spray painted "GOD SEES" on the front of the clinic. right before i (cont)

stopped volunteering for unrelated reasons, an anti-choice group opened a cpc literally right behind the clinic using its subtitle (“women’s clinic” or something) with the clear intention of luring abortion patients there and away from the real clinic.

Cecile Richards, President of Planned Parenthood, is up for inclusion in Time’s 100 most influential.

Right now the vote is HEAVILY No Way. I think tumblr can fix that.

Tumblrfrayns, I beg of you…do this.

It might seem inconsequential, but Time has a giant readership and having someone so staunchly for women’s rights in that 100 would be a major coup.

Tumblrbomb, y/y?

Yes.

Hello darlings. May I ask you for a favor? Can you please just click on that link and vote to include Cecile Richards, President of Planned Parenthood, AKA awesomest person ever, in that list? Thank you!

do it doooo it

YES. Let’s get this done. I’ve got 41.64% in her favor right now.

[Image: Text reads, “Who said that? ‘It [abortion] kills the life of a baby after it has begun. It is dangerous to your health. It may make you sterile so that when you want a child you cannot have it.’” It then lists “A: National Right to Life, B: Priests for Life, C: Planned Parenthood, D: Stand True” with all but “C: Planned Parenthood” crossed out in red and with PP highlighted in white. Text on the bottom adds, “Quote from 1952 - Planned Parenthood Federation of America Pamphlet. Plan Your Children for Health and Happiness - Regarding Abortion”. Credited to www.standtrue.com and www.abortionwiki.org. End description.]

Attention: quote from 1952. Pre-Roe, meaning just about all abortions were unsafe then. Case closed.

Planned Parenthood’s Prenatal Care

Planned Parenthood Male and Female Infertility Information

Planned Parenthood OC Fertility Treatments

There ya go, seems like you were confused.

Also, providing birth control, condoms, comprehensive sexual education, STD testing and treatment (especially because some STDs gone untreated can cause infertility), etc help people plan their parenthood by helping people not get pregnant before they feel they are ready.

—Maria

Turns out they do.

But looking up information is hard

Nah, it’s telling the damn truth that’s too hard for these people.

malcontentment

(I’ve got to warn you guys: this video might make your IQ drop several points. Mine is still recovering.)

malcontentment:

Hooking Kids on Sex

This is FUCKING. AMAZING.

”.. Just as the goal of a drug dealer is to make drug addicts, Planned Parenhood’s goal is to make sex addicts.”

<areyoufuckingserious.jpg>

No.

That’s total bullshit. You know where men can go for sexual health consultation? A physician. You know where women go? Planned Parenthood. And if you were to walk into Planned Parenthood with an actual sex addiction, they would refer you to other doctors to get the help you need.

And that’s just from your description. On to the video.

"Don’t let children watch this." Oh, this is gonna be good…

Okay, so for any of those genitalia-based objects… citation needed on them having anything to do with Planned Parenthood. And if they were, they were being used for the purpose of sex education. Some of the best sex ed I ever received involved putting condoms on dildos, etc.

Now, “Unrestricted access to our children”? WHAT LASDJSKL NO. The only thing Planned Parenthood does with children is offer them comprehensive sex ed programs in tandem with other programs like Girl Scouts (which are also awesome; I’ve been one). No one is selling sex or porn to kids. You make it sound like they’re a damn harem or something. Just. No. Have you ever even been into a Planned Parenthood? If you are honestly confusing comprehensive sex ed with porn, you have a serious problem.

"One of Planned Parenthood’s ‘gateway drugs’ is masturbation."

EL OH EL.

I CAN’T.

THAT’S HILARIOUS. Thank you for making my evening. Let me give you a hint: masturbation starts in most kids naturally when you’re toddlers. You become more aware of it at the onset of puberty. [Edited for factual accuracy.] The body is sending signals for you to start exploring your sexuality. It’s natural and normal to start masturbating at a young age, and there’s nothing wrong with it. Growing pubic hair is in part to bring your attention to the area and start checking it out to see what you like. That is part of puberty. The things in that book are important for kids to know, and I assure you, your kid has already seen half of it because they have one of those forms of genitalia. “Embarrassment”? What is so embarrassing about masturbating? Really, what? I want an answer.

Everything Planned Parenthood is saying here is part of comprehensive sex education, which is really important for kids to learn. And you know what? Comprehensive sex ed and increased contraceptive access have been proven to reduce unwanted pregnancy and abortion rates! This means, pro-lifers, that you should be lauding Planned Parenthood for preventing about 800,000 abortions per year. It’s really a win-win for both sides—but of course, you don’t really care about abortions. You hate women.

THIS HETEROSEXISM. OKAY, NOW I’M JUST ANGRY. BITCH MODE ACTIVATED. All sexual orientations ARE perfectly normal, you heterosexist fuck. Sex education related to LGBTQ+ individuals is equally as important as sex education for straight people—everyone needs to know these things. Daniel Radcliffe, one of my heroes, put it perfectly.

There’s all this stuff at the moment, which is hateful, about people being up in arms about the idea of gay sex education is schools. Hello!?! Actually for the one or two gay kids in the class, it’s fucking vital! It really makes me angry. You’re not going to turn the straight kids gay by giving them a sex ed class about how to have gay sex safely! You know. Really. People can catch HIV even after their first time and that’s what it’s all about; that can be avoided.

Boom.

Planned Parenthood explaining how to have sex safely no matter your orientation? AAAHHHHHH! SO SCARY! How is explaining these things wrong or “deviant” in any way? I really want an answer. An actual fucking answer. The Bible is not a valid source. Thirteen? I’d say that’s a more than appropriate age to view cartoons like that. My little brother’s that age, and I say he needs sex ed like that. His current sex ed, from what he tells me, is awful.

"Is it any wonder why 1 in 4 teenage girls has an STD?"

First off, citation needed. Second off, it’s because of people like you discouraging comprehensive sex education, the kind of thing Planned Parenthood promotes.

And now you’re attacking Vox? Dude. I’m an on-off member of Vox. There are no orgies. We talk about politics for an hour a week and sometimes organize rallies and such—and my college is supposedly a party school. That’s really about it.

Okay, that “Make Out” poster. I’ve seen it before. I’m pretty sure it has jack shit to do with Planned Parenthood. Citation needed.

[TW: rape culture] A party with safe sex kits not does NOT SCREAM DATE RAPE YOU MISOGYNIST FUCK. The only thing that “screams date rape” are rapists. You, sir, are contributing to rape culture by shifting the blame from the perpetrator to the victim. Fuck you.

Now you’re going after Oh Megan [often NSFW things on here]? I love Oh Megan. I went to one of her shows at UMass, and it was really helpful! She offered comprehensive sex ed that a lot of us never got in middle or high school, which, again, is seriously important. I honestly had no idea where my G-spot was before that Oh Megan show. I learned a lot that night. Oh Megan is awesome, man.

WHAT IS WRONG WITH GIVING AWAY SAFE SEX KITS? WHAT? I REALLY WANT TO KNOW WHAT YOUR PROBLEM IS WITH SAFER SEX. Slut-shaming is NOT okay!

And for the ending: There is no abortion business at Planned Parenthood! It is a registered non-profit! Any profits it does receive are cycled back to fund their other services, which are really helpful for poor and working womyn. Take that away, and you endanger the health of half the country.

abortion Susan G. Komen breast cancer Planned Parenthood
abokononist-deactivated20120714
Send an e-mail to Susan G. Komen telling them their reputation is destroyed.

Susan G. Komen Foundation, you just destroyed your reputation by defunding Planned Parenthood.

Cancer screening and prevention comprises 17 percent of Planned Parenthood’s services. For many low-income women, Planned Parenthood is their only source of health care. By going along with anti-choice extremists who are determined to put Planned Parenthood out of business, you are essentially saying it doesn’t matter if low-income women get breast cancer.

Pretty amazing, and truly disgusting.
