[Image: a two-panel comic. The first panel is a man with his fist toward the sky yelling, “If you are a loviing and Merciful God, WHY didn’t you send someone to cure cancer, or true leaders to govern US? What’s your problem GOD???” In the second panel, “God” replies from the clouds, “I DID!!! You ABORTED them.” End description.]

Alternatively: “Why aren’t there more hitmen for hire? I really want the President out of office!”

"I sent them, you just aborted them!"

The man replies, “But where are they?” with his arms outstretched in apparent confusion. God says, “You aborted them?”]
Is that so? Kinda funny how the all-knowing God gets this wrong 42,000,000 times a year. Not a very good track record.

socialismartnature:

[Image: Three drawings of fake newspaper clippings. The first says, “North Caroline Defunds Planned Parenthood, ‘Great News’ Says Cervical Cancer. A blob of malignant neoplasm seemed encouraged” alongside a picture of a cancer cell with arms, legs, a face, and a wide, toothy smile. The second says, “Entire Media Checks Into Sex Scandal Addiction Clinic. Wolf Blitzer: ‘Our sick fetish has made the news impossible.’” alongside a drawing of Wolf Blitzer with a tear running down his cheek. The final one says, “Study: “Kids Who Can’t Remember Start of Afghanistan War Now Old Enough To Die In It” as the headline. What follows are photos of two young men with quotes next to them. The first, a young white man with a shaved head, says, “‘It’s about the dead guy, Osama, right?’ - Ryker Anderson, 19”. The second, a young black man with short hair and a soul patch, says, “Travis, 18, who is stationed in Kabul, was playing trucks when the 9/11 attacks happened, he guesses.”]

National headlines get the ‘Bors’ treatment

[Image: A political comic with six panels. The title is, “A Right-Winger’s Guide to Life’s Value!”

First panel: a drawing of a pregnant woman on a hospital bed with a male doctor by her side. Text reads: “Woman whose health is endangered by her late-term pregnancy. Value: none. She knew what she was getting into.”

Second panel: a woman with her two young children. Text, “Welfare mom and kids. Value: none. When kids starve, it’s their own fault for being poor.”

Third panel: an OB/GYN doctor sitting at a desk with a lamp, a phone, a cup of pencils, and a book in his hands. Text, “Abortion doctor. Value: none. He’s no better than a prisoner on death row.”

Fourth panel: A prisoner with dreadlocks looking out a barred window. It is raining outside. Text, “A prisoner on death row. Value: none. Killing adults is cool.”

Fifth panel: “An infant in a hospital with an air tube in its nose. Text, “Dying infants who might live if the government paid for [health] care. Value: none. What are you, a communist?”

Sixth panel: a blastocyst. Text, “A couple of cells. Value: INFINITE. In all the cosmos, nothing matters more than this.”]

True. Fucking. Facts. How about them cookies, conservative hypocrites?

[Image: a political cartoon from CatholicCartoonBlog.blogspot.com. The left panel shows a caricature of Obama at a podium saying, “America’s greatest moral problem is that we still don’t abide by … “Whatever you do for the least of my brothers is what you do for me.” The right panel shows a fairly well-along fetus thinking, “Gee, if I ain’t the ‘least of these’, who is?”]

Gee, maybe the systematically oppressed women who aren’t allowed to control their bodies because a bunch of holier-than-thou, white, Christian men think they can make decisions for me. Also, a fetus cannot think. If I have to explain the science of that to you, then you really need to go back to middle school biology.

You also gave this the hashtag #antilife. I’m not even going to go into how stupid that is. No one’s anti-life, especially not pro-choicers. But you, however, are anti-choice and anti-feminist. Get a grip. Women are dying because of anti-choice legislation—how pro-life is that?

Really, this is all propaganda. All I see is an anti-scientific representation of a gestating fetus that is probably too late to be electively aborted anyway alongside a racist caricature of the president.

[Image: a four panel comic strip, each with a different set of people on a slope. The first one is labeled, “LOVING V. VIRGINIA, 1967” and a man at the bottom of the slope says, “JUST YOU WATCH. NOW THAT BLACK CAN MARRY WHITE, PEOPLE MARRYING HOUSEPETS IS JUST AROUND THE CORNER!” The second panel is labeled, “ROE V. WADE, 1973” and the same man screams, “NOW THAT ABORTION IS LEGAL, WE’RE CERTAIN TO MAKE IT LEGAL TO COMMIT INFANTICIDE! ANY YEAR NOW!” The third panel is labeled, “GOODRIDGE, 2003” and the same man yells, “IF GAYS CAN MARRY, LEGAL INCEST AND BIGAMY WILL COME NEXT! IT’S INEVITABLE!” And finally, in the fourth panel, two women on top of the slope say, “DUDE, I DON’T THINK THIS SLOPE IS NEARLY AS SLIPPERY AS YOU THINK IT IS.” To which the man replies, “OH SHUT UP.”]
A Slippery Slope

So, for the record, anti-choicers: implying that abortion will lead to widespread infanticide (which are completely different things) is a classic example of the slippery slope fallacy.

[A comic. Title: “Which fringe group has NEVER received scrutiny by the mainstream media?”

On the left, there is the title “BIRTHERS”. Below the title is a man holding a sign reading, “Show me the ‘real’ birth certificate”. His shirt reads, “His granny’s not a liar”.

On the right, the title is “ANTI-BIRTHERS”. There are three women, holding signs reading “ABORTION YES! NO RESTRICTIONS!”; “HANDS OFF MY BOD!” and “IT’S JUST A FETUS! NOT A LIFE!!”]

Okay seriously whut.

How is there even a comparison here? One is racist paranoia, and the other is the radical concept that women own their bodies. And no pro-choicer is “anti-birth.” Not in the least. Just no.

And I’m pretty sure pro-choicers get media scrutiny all the fucking time. Ever turned on Fox News?

Despite the fact that this cartoon makes me squeamish and is a bit exaggerated (at least I fucking hope) - it has a point.

My love for this comic knows no bounds.

What the hell? Let’s be generous and assume an undeveloped fetus can think in this manner. Why is the fetus hoping “HE” has a change of heart? What man should have any influence over this situation?
