"That’s why people need to continue to go to the town halls, continue to melt the phone lines of their liberal members of Congress, and let them know, under no certain circumstances will I give the government control over my body and my health care decisions."

Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN), arguing against the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, inadvertently making a pro-choice argument. (via stillexperience)

Oh my god, SO FUCKING PRICELESS.

(via angryfeminist)

THE IRONYYYYYYYYY DDDD-:

(via stfufauxminists)

Just between you and your doctor, right, Mrs. Bachmann?

(via stfuconservatives)

Note to conservatives: When you basically have to couch your talking points in liberal language in order to make your anti-minority, anti-lower-class arguments sound acceptable, you need to rethink your worldview.

(via triplanetary)

Tomorrow she’ll go on national TV and say that John Wayne Gacy was pro-life, which is why he gave birth to Founding Father John Quincy Adams who learned everything he needed to know in Iowa, not Minnesota, where Michele is a member of the Galactic Congress.

(via inothernews)

Holy absolute motherfucking shit.

[Image: A political comic with six panels. The title is, “A Right-Winger’s Guide to Life’s Value!”

First panel: a drawing of a pregnant woman on a hospital bed with a male doctor by her side. Text reads: “Woman whose health is endangered by her late-term pregnancy. Value: none. She knew what she was getting into.”

Second panel: a woman with her two young children. Text, “Welfare mom and kids. Value: none. When kids starve, it’s their own fault for being poor.”

Third panel: an OB/GYN doctor sitting at a desk with a lamp, a phone, a cup of pencils, and a book in his hands. Text, “Abortion doctor. Value: none. He’s no better than a prisoner on death row.”

Fourth panel: A prisoner with dreadlocks looking out a barred window. It is raining outside. Text, “A prisoner on death row. Value: none. Killing adults is cool.”

Fifth panel: “An infant in a hospital with an air tube in its nose. Text, “Dying infants who might live if the government paid for [health] care. Value: none. What are you, a communist?”

Sixth panel: a blastocyst. Text, “A couple of cells. Value: INFINITE. In all the cosmos, nothing matters more than this.”]

True. Fucking. Facts. How about them cookies, conservative hypocrites?

abortion genocide Republicans pro-choice pro-life anti-choice feminism
"[Slight trigger warning] There is a trend here. White, Christian men who have money are making laws to kill women, minorities, queers, and “heathens.” That’s called genocide. It’s legal in America, but it’s still genocide. Even if it’s not explicit. Laws like these preceded many explicit genocides throughout history."
— My friend Josh earlier. I’d never thought of it as a genocide before, and though I don’t think it’s quite as extreme as that in the US right now, when he put it that way, it’s quite scary to think about.

Watching this debate is like watching a professor argue with a five year-old.

dionthesocialist:

Republican: NO TAX PAYER FUNDING FOR ABORTION!

Democrat: There already isn’t tax payer funding for abortion. It’s called the Hyde Amendment.

Republican 2: NO TAX PAYER FUNDING FOR ABORTION!

Democrat 2: There isn’t any. This bill is nothing more than a tax increase on small businesses.

Republican 3: NO TAX PAYER FUNDING FOR ABORTION!

Democrat: 3: Dude…

The only thing that makes me feel better about this ridiculousness is that if this bill makes it to Obama’s desk, he’s going to veto the shit out of it.

Republican's right over a woman's 'baby garage'

Frank Cerabino of Florida, objectification of women as incubator machines is absolutely not okay. It´s an organ, there´s nothing dirty about it. It´s called a uterus, and mine is mine own to control. Thank you.
